Hi everyone,

On Tuesday, May 23, 2023 Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA) had the 95-gallon carts delivered to all homes in the Mountain Glen Community. 

Excited:

• I am a champion of recycling

• I don’t have to chase down blown recycled products on windy days anymore 

Not so excited:

• I am not currently a participant of CVWMA’s recycling program 

• I already have a 95-gallon recycling cart

• I have no place to store the additional cart so that it not visibly seen from the street 

If you fall into the not so excited above, you may request to have the cart removed.  Send your written request to CVWMA’s Customer Service Department at CustomerService@cvwma.com or telephone CVWMA’s Operations Manager, Richard Nolan at 804-612-0553 or CVWMA Executive Director, Kimberly Hynes at 804-612-0552 to request that arrangements be made for the removal of the new cart.      

Note: If you wish to continue your participation in Henrico County’s recycling program, beginning July 1, 2023, all recyclables must go in the CVWMA’s 95-gallon recycling cart for scheduled pick-up service.  The small green open square CVWMA bins and personal containers are being phased out.  If you choose to keep the new 95-gallon cart, and wish to have your current CVWMA small bin removed, you may telephone the Authority’s Customer Service Department at 804-340-0900 and arrange to have the small bin(s) picked up.
